Wed 11th Feb: Hey. Sorry I havent been on in quite a while. Just back from a weeks break and raring to go again. We are busy rehearsing at the moment. Since the X-Factor over two years ago, we havent had much time to really practice all of our musical instruments so we are taking time to get back into honing our skills again. Really looking forward to it actually. Going to start tomorrow. Will let you know how I get on. lol

Sun 25th Jan: Im back! Its been a busy weekend. We were performing at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Glasgow for Smooth FMs Ceilidh as part of their Robert Burns Celebrations. Was a great gig. We were also on West FM as part of their "Top 50 Scottish Songs," chosen by you. Three of our songs were featured in the top 50. Celtic Mantra.....no.6 and Flower Of Scotland.....no.4!!! Result indeed. Talk soon x

Wed 21st Jan: Hey hey hey! Was good to talk to you all last night on the forum. Its always great to keep the site as active as possible. We were at West FM doing a couple of interviews yesterday for Saturdays gig at Ayr Central. Always a good laugh when we go in. lol Heading for soundcheck tomorrow morning for tomorrow nights gig. Probably hit the gym in between if I get a chance. Will let you know how the gig goes tomorrow. See ya later

Fri 16th Jan: Hey everyone. Sorry I haven't left a blog in a while. Been really busy recently. We have started filming a new music video for "You Can Always Come Home Son." It is looking great so far. Still got a few more filming sessions to do.

Oh we did a photo shoot yesterday for the Daily Record. We are hopefully going to be featured tomorrow on page 3 so make sure you dont miss it lol. We heard our version of "Ae Fond Kiss" being played yesterday on West FM too while we were travelling across the country filming for the BBC. Sounded really good on radio.

The BBC were filming us all day yesterday for a documentary. Was a lot of fun. The crew were a great laugh. They had so much planned for us to do however because of the weather all plans were kind of "flung oot the windae" lol.

Filming again tomorrow so will let you know how it goes.

Then we travelled to Lossiemouth up the top end of Scotland for another X-mas lights bash. It was so cold....but great gig once again! Performing in Langholm this weekend. Cant wait for that one. See you all there!!!!

Thu 27th Nov: Hey. How is everyone!? Heading over to Ireland today. Got a radio interview tonight at half 5.....I think. Then got the X-mas lights switch on in Downpatrick I believe. As you can propbably tell Im not 100% sure. Oh well hope to see you there!

Tue 25th Nov: What a weekend! We were at Dundee, for their youth awards. Strirling, for the Xmas lights switch on which was brilliant and finally Ayr Xmas Lights switch on which has to be said was the best gig of the band. I would also like to say "cheers" lol to the RED HOT CHILI PIPERS for ending the show with us. Got a few days off this week to celebrate my birthday since im working in Ireland for it on Fri! So gonna make the most of it.

Tue 18th Nov: Hey everyone. First time leaving my blog. Shocking I know!! I thought its about time I left one since all you can see down the page is Brian's face lol. Well anyway, haven't been up to much this week. Had a tour gig at the Rothes Halls in Glenrothes on Friday. It was really good. The crowd were so brillian!!!! Been resting up this week. Absolutley loaded with the cold at the moment but should be in top form for this weekends gigs. The Ayr Lights switch on should be good one. Hopefully see you all there.

Mon 10th Nov: So this weekends tour gigs are now over....booo! lol......Saturday night at the Gaiety in Ayr has to be one of the best gigs we have done this year. Such a great atmosphere......the best yet!! Oh well, Rothes Halls on Friday. Got the week off.....fingers crossed!! Gonna chill out. See ya Friday.

Tue 4th Nov: Hey folks sorry for not getting back sooner lol. The new James Bond film was amazing. Had such a good night. We were taken for a wee spin in a limo before hitting the cinema to catch the film. Never managed to get my hands on any popcorn I'm afraid. lol

Since then we have been in Bathgate Regal Community Theatre, Theatre Royal Dumfries and Whitehall Theatre in Dundee. Was such a good weekend of gigs. Really enjoyed them. It's weird going to the gig with it being freezing outside now. Bring back the Highlands & Islands Tour last summer please.....!!! lol

We are performing at a fireworks display in Falkirk for Central FM tomorrow night. Hopefully see you there!

Wed 29th Oct: Forgot to tell you all. Craig and I are off to a premier of the new James Bond film in Dundee tomorrow night :) Should be good fun. We have been to one film premier before for "Flushed Away" in London and it was an amazing night. Any free popcorn please lol.....fingers crossed! Will let you know how it goes.

Tue 28th Oct: Hey everyone. Just been chillin' today. You can't beat a day of doing nothing...! lol This weekends gigs are approaching. Won't be long now......Bathgate, Dumfries and Dundee! Gonna watch a couple of films tonight. Has been quite a while since I had time to do that. Oh well you canny beat it......See ya later!

Sun 26th Oct: Woo Hoo.....crazy show last night. The Mothewell crowd just gets better and better. I really like the Civic theatre. The lighting guys made the stage look fantastic. The Karaoke section seems to be as popular as ever, even though nobody seems to sing when they come up on stage. You know who you are lol. I don't blame you!!! Motherwell has been the best so far. Bring on Bathgate next week!

Sat 25th Oct: What a first show! Performed last night in Denny Civic Theatre in Dumbarton. Was so nervous, being the first night of the tour lol. Was so surprised it ran so smoothly and what an atmosphere!! Gordon, our manager, brought his two boys along who sat side stage for the whole show as well as running on to the stage to supply us with more water!! lol Can't wait for tomorrow night in Motherwell. Hopefully see you there.

Blog Updates from Australia

DAY 1 - (11th Sep)

Hey everyone. Today is the big day! All our cases are packed, passports.....visas.....tickets.....they're all there. Really starting to get excited for the 26 hour trip to Sydney Australia. We will be leaving for Glasgow Airport in a couple of hours time!

First of all we fly to London, then transfer onto the Boeing 747 for the long trip to Bangkok, Thailand. Stop in Bangkok for some all important fuel and perhaps a shower lol.....then we board again for our final part of journey to Sydney.
We've never been on a flight as long as this one so fingers crossed we won't get too bored!

Cant wait to finally get there, it seems like ages since we first signed the record deal for Oz! Fingers crossed everything goes well!

Will try and keep in touch as much as possible during the trip so keep checking the blog!!!

Speak soon,

Craig & Brian

DAY 2 - (12th Sep)

Hi everyone. Today has been such an exciting day. We arrived at sydney airport at 7 this morning after nearly 24 hours in the air stopping off once in bangkok for fuel. We were picked up by a couple of cars at the airport and taken straight to our appartment right next to sydney harbour bridge, which will be our home 4 the next 2 weeks.

After a quick power nap we went to meet and have lunch with all the team at the new record label. Was really fantastic sitting having lunch over-looking sydney harbour. By the way it was 28 degrees today. Marko from the label drove us round sydney showing us the sights. Great start to the trip!!!!

We are doing something really exciting tomorrow before the hard work begins.

Speak soon

DAY 3 - (13th Sep)

Hi guys. As you know yesterday we were supposed to be doing something exciting today. We got up at 4.30am and got picked up to travel to a place called wallagong. The reason we were heading there was to do a ski dive, but on the way there it started to rain really heavy and by the time we got there, there was even lightning. We were very dissapointed after waiting a few hours for the weather to change to find out we couldn't jump. So we headed back to the appartment, had a good 4 hours sleep before having a quick rehersal 4 our media showcase on tuesday. We are heading out 4 a nice meal now and will speak to you all tommorow.

DAY 4 - (14th Sep)

Hi everyone. We have had such a busy day 2day. We were picked up by Marko and driven to Sony BMG Australia to meet Tatiana who would be looking after us for the day. First on the schedule was a radio interview at 2 CH with a live performance of Come Back Susanna and Fields Of Gold. It was a bit nerve-wracking as this was our first radio interview in Australia. Once again the weather was amazing in the high 20s! We then departed for Manly, a beautiful suburb to Sydney. After another radio interview and performance we then headed to the beach for a photo shoot. Dressed in our kilts and posing on the beach.....let's just say we turned a few heads! Lol Marko and Tatania treated us to a fantastic lunch on the beach front. Was amazing. It was then back to the radio station 2 GB for another interview. We were sitting in the reception area waiting to go in where the famous English actor Richard E Grant recognised us and came over and spoke to us. We were so chuffed that he took an interest in what we were doing over here in Oz!!! The last interview of the day was at 2 UE, which turned out to be the best interview of the day. It has been a long day. Early rise tomorrow folks for probably the most hectic day of the week, so gonna have to leave you now. Will see you all tommorow!

DAY 5 - (15th Sep)

Hi all,

Today has been the busiest day so far! Started of with a newspaper interview this morning where we were walking about sydney in the kilts! After that it was a photo shot folllowed by lunch. Then it was into the offices at sony bmg which was relly excIting as its the first time we've been in the office of a major label! There we met a few people and done a few radio interviews over the phone before doing the biggest gig of our trip- the media showcase! We dId a few of the old favorites from back home and it went great. So its off to bed now cause we're up early for our second tv apperance of the trip so speak to u all tomorrow

Craig annd Brian x

DAY 6- (16th Sep)

Hey everyone. Today was such a big day for us. First on the schedule was "The Morning Show". The show is basically the same as "This Morning" in the UK!

We were nervous as usual on arrival to the studios. Was such a big building as we've found most the buildings in the city to be........

Standing backstage, dressed in our kilts and Scotland shirts we were watching the build up to our performance. During the breaks we would sound check and do camera rehearsals. When the performance finally came we were so ready for it! Supposedly it looked great but we haven't seen it yet. The link for the show in Australia will be up on the website soon!!! Straight after the performance we were interviewed by Kylie Gilles and Larry Emdur to our surprise since the producer never told us about it, however it turned out great lol......

We then travelled to Gosford which was roughly a 2 hour drive from Sydney for a radio interview at 2GO. After another great interview it was off to the Blue Tongue Stadium for a face to face interview to promote our Hunter Mariners appearence. The Hunter Mariners are a football team where we will be performing to roughly 12,000 people during half-time.

Getting changed in the teams changing rooms we got the shock of our lives to see one of Australia's largest spiders, "The Huntsmen" on the wall!!! Marko, from the record label, was the first to demonstrate the spiders' speed by touching it! It ran all over the room lol I may be laughing just now but I can assure you it wasn't funny at the time! Lol.........

So after the shock of the spider we proceded onto the football pitch for a quick performance of 500 miles, and interview for NBN TV News to promote the game. Once finished we then played football for a while on the pitch before heading for lunch!

Lunch was a new experience for us. Seafood was on the cards which I have to say we've never really tried. Craig passed as he couldn't stomach it when it arrived however I gave it a shot. I have to say after peeling off the shell of the large shrimps, ripping off its head and being squirted in the eye with fish fluid, they actually tasted really good lol!......

So after a very eventfull day consisting of interviews, TV appearences, spider sightings, and shellfish challenges it was back to the appartment for an early night. Just heading to bed just now so we shall see you all soon.

DAY 7- (17th Sep)

Hey everyone. Today we headed down to the office in Crows Nest for a full day of radio interviews. I can't remember them all but there were a few including 4BH-Brisbane, 2UUU with Jock McDougall and Zinc 96.1! After a long day in the office we all felt it was time for a workout! So we headed down to the gym for a serious workout. Marko came along to be our personal trainer since we havent been to the gym for about 2 years lol. I know we have mentioned Marko before......let's just say you wouldn't mess with him as he works out quite a lot! After a fantastic workout it was off to the swimming pool and sauna to chill!! So its off to bed now for another early rise tomorrow!

Also we've noticed a few Australian friends on the site. Welcome!!!!!!

Craig and Brian x

DAY 8- (18th Sep)

Hey guys. Another day of promo today. Headed out of Sydney to 2RDJ 88.1 FM for a fantastic radio interview. I think we must have performed at least 5 tracks from the album acoustically, live!!!.........without mistakes of course. We then headed back to Crows Nest in Sydney for breakfast before going to the office for more radio interviews. After another day in the office it was off to "Koala Park" to see the Koalas and Kangaroos. Was absolutely amazing to see them. We have our photographs with a koala and tried to feed the kangaroos, but they were having none of it lol! So after a fun trip to the zoo it was back to the appartment for a freshen up. Heading out now for a few drinks with Tatiana and some of the team at Sony BMG so will speak soon........

DAY 9- (19th Sep)

Craig and Brian x

Hi everyone. Today was an absolute belter!!! 29 degrees of pure Australian sunshine :) Not much on today which was great so we got our first long lie in of the trip! Lol So anyway it was off to Gosford, around 80km away from Sydney to the "BlueTongue" stadium for our soundcheck for the game between Central Coast Mariners and Melbourne Victory! We soundchecked 500 Miles around 4 o'clock before heading to the beach for an afternoon stroll! Lol..........The game kicked off at 7pm. It didn't take the Mariners, (the underdogs) long to score their first goal of the night. They then let things go a bit and unfortunately let a goal in........so at half time the score was one all. It was now our turn to do our job and perform in front of the 9010 crowd. It is a great feeling going out to a new crowd in the other side of the world. The crowd reaction was fantastic. So after our little one song gig it was up to the chairmans box to watch the second half. The game ended a 2 all draw. Its off home now for a good sleep. Its been a tiring day. Speak soon

Criag and Brian x

Day 10 (20th Sep)

Hey everyone. Well today was the last day of promotion for us for this trip to Australia. We headed to Manly for our performance for the Manly Highland Gathering. The weather was beautiful with bright blue skies. Soundcheck was at 12:50pm for out half an hour performance at 1:15pm, however the PA system failed and we couldn't perform! :( By this time a crowd of around 200 people had gathered for our performance so rather than dissapoint anyone we decided we would take our acoustic guitar, accordion and violin, walk into the middle of the crowd and do our set!!! Everybody loved it, and so did we.....It was something we had never really done before, performing without any equipment so we were a bit nervous in doing it but it turned out great. After our performance we headed to John's house, (record label boss) for a few beers where on his balcony looking out to the sea we fed two parrots grapes. Was totally amazing! lol Such a great way to end our promotional trup of Australia! Well with the work now over its time to chill out for the next few days before coming home so it's off to Manly beach tomorrow to try catch some rays!......lol

See you all soon.....
